Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Pre-Commissioning Technician II to support the pre-commissioning team in startup and repair of systems, while growing independent technical skills.

You will assist with startup of less complex equipment, aid senior technicians, perform system flushing, TAB, PRV settings, and verify submittals; occasional travel to job sites is required. Strong safety focus and hands-on problem solving are essential; EPA 608, OSHA 30, NFPA 70 certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in relevant field.
• EPA 608, OSHA 30 and NFPA 70 certifications.
• Ability to develop safety habits, time management and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with hydronic and VRF systems and chiller operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist startup of less complex equipment and support senior technicians.
• Troubleshoot problems and assist with repairs under guidance.
• Support with system flushing, TAB, PRV settings, belts and bearings.
• Verify equipment and submittals match voltage/amps/HP.
• Travel 0–5% to job sites as needed.

Overview

The Pre-Commissioning Technician II is responsible for supporting the pre-commissioning department and more senior technicians in the startup and repair of systems while also working more independently. The tasks and duties are exposing the individual to basic system concepts, troubleshooting methodologies, and continue building higher level technician skills such as creative thinking and time management.

Responsibilities

• Startup
  • The individual is responsible for starting up less complex equipment; assisting higher level technicians with complex equipment and systems, gathering product info (Model #'s, Serial #'s, Belt, filter sizes).
• Diagnose and Repair
  • The individual is assisting more senior technicians troubleshooting problems and repairing them.
• Support for Operations
  • The individual is assisting with system flushing, TAB, setting PRV's, maintaining belts, greasing bearings and motors before turnover.
• Review of Submittal Documents
  • The individual is verifying equipment on job and submittal match voltage/amps/HP/etc.
• Mentoring of Other Employees
  • The individual is not expected to provide direct mentoring to other employees, either within, or outside of the department
• After Hours Work
  • The individual works overtime on occasion.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• 20 hours of continued education.
• 2+ years' experience.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• NFPA 70 certification.
• Ability to develop the following skills through mentorship, continuing education and hands-on activity:

Travel Requirements

• 0-5 % of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• NFPA 70 complaint uniform (1 sets will be provided by the company, and replaced annually)
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
• Climbing stairs.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
• Noisy environment.
• Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.

Pay Range

USD $24.28 - USD $32.41 /Hr.
