Job summary

Sweitzer HVAC & Plumbing is seeking an entry-level HVAC & Plumbing Helper to support Installers and Service Technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of systems. You will gain on-the-job experience across both trades, learn safety practices, and grow with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Interest in HVAC and plumbing trades; prior experience helpful but not required.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to take direction well.
• Team player with respect and a positive attitude.
• Follow multi-step instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Willing to learn on-the-job; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of HVAC systems (air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork) and plumbing systems (water heaters, boilers, fixtures).
• Support Service Technicians during diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance calls.
• Carry tools, supplies, and equipment between job sites or within installations.
• Help prepare work areas, protect client property, and clean up job sites.
• Perform basic tasks such as pipe cutting, measurements, soldering, sealing, and system flushing under guidance.
• Load and unload company vehicles and restock parts and inventory.
• Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized; report any issues.
• Observe and follow company and regulatory safety procedures at all times.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers and team members.
