Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to maintain, repair, and upgrade HVAC systems and related controls in a 341,000-square-foot acute care setting in Lancaster, PA. The role requires hands-on work with air-handling equipment, exhaust fans, VAV systems, furnaces and related controls.

The position is full-time, night shift with a $2.50/hour night differential. A high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience are required, with preferred vocational

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Three (3) years of job related experience in residential or industrial HVAC, plumbing and mechanical trades required.
• Two (2) years Vocational/Technical school training preferred.
• Previous experience in operating tractors, high lifts and other types of equipment preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration License and EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair and upgrades to the heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and their associated controls. This includes air-handling equipment; exhaust fans, variable-air-volume systems, furnaces, crematories, humidifiers and air filtration equipment. Also included is knowledge and use of the associated control systems for the equipment - both digital and pneumatic.
