Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install and configure HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Connect ductwork, pipes, and electrical wiring as required.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Clean or replace air filters, belts, and other components during maintenance visits.
• Lubricate moving parts and perform other maintenance actions to ensure systems run efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.
• Replace or repair defective components such as compressors, motors, and fans
• Address customer complaints and perform necessary repairs to resolve issues.
• Conduct tests on HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly post-repair or installation.
• Use specialized tools and equipment to measure system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including parts used and labor hours.
• Document customer interactions and any issues encountered during service.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Advise customers on the best practices for maintaining their HVAC systems and improving energy efficiency.

CACI has an immediate opening for an HVAC Mechanic to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a skilled professional who can diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs, and ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Work Environment:

• This position may require working in various environments, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities and military installations.
• May involve working in extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
• Occasional overtime and emergency call-outs may be required.
• Travel 25% or greater
