Job summary

Edelman, LLC is seeking an HVAC Manager to run department operations across Illinois and Wisconsin. You will own the HVAC service and installation work, both residential and commercial, while developing technicians and ensuring profitability.

Lead scheduling, enforce safety and compliance (EPA Section 608), coach staff, and uphold Edelman’s high standards. This role requires multi-location coverage and strong business acumen.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing residential and/or commercial HVAC operations.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and refrigerant handling.
• Experience owning job costing, scheduling, and margin accountability.
• Willingness to support multiple locations across Illinois and Wisconsin.

• Protect Quality: Hold every job to the Edelman standard — proper installs, honest diagnostics, no shortcuts.
• Own the Numbers: Manage job costing, estimates, and margin accountability for the department — this is your P&L to run.
• Solve Problems Before They Escalate: When something goes sideways on a job site, you're the one who fixes it and keeps the customer's trust intact.
• Set the Standard for Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, EPA refrigerant compliance (Section 608), and code requirements without exception.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Proven leadership experience managing residential and/or commercial HVAC operations.
• Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and refrigerant handling — you can walk a job site and know within minutes if it was done right.
