SFR3 Fund is seeking an HVAC Residential Maintenance Technician for Jackson, MS area with a focus on servicing single-family rental homes. You’ll lead on-site diagnostics and repairs, manage job routes, and document work through our mobile app.

40 hours weekly with a competitive hourly rate and performance-based bonus. Responsibilities include diagnosing various HVAC systems, refrigerant work, and potential installations.

Competenze

• EPA Universal certification is required.
• 3+ years hands-on residential HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Own your truck/van and tools; vehicle mileage is reimbursed.

Mansioni

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, mini-splits).
• Conduct refrigerant work including leak detection, recovery, and charging (EPA 608).
• Service thermostats, condensers, blower motors, capacitors, and boards; perform troubleshooting.
• Potentially perform full system installs and change-outs.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance calls as part of multi-trade days.
• Do site turnover tasks such as punch lists and move-in/move-out walks; document with photos in the app.

HVAC Residential Maintenance Technician - Jackson, MS

$26-$35/hr · Guaranteed 40 hrs/week · $0.76/mile vehicle / gas reimbursement · Quarterly performance bonus

The deal, up front:

• Guaranteed 40 hours - if the work orders run short, we pay you anyway
• $0.76/mile covering gas + vehicle wear (you drive your own truck or van)
• Quarterly bonus tied to your performance - your bonus is math, not politics

The job:

You'll be the HVAC lead for our single-family rental homes across Detroit - we call our techs Property Engineers, because you run your route like you own it. Work orders hit your phone, our routing tech builds your day, you diagnose and fix. No office, no micromanager, no two trips for one job if you can help it.

What you'll work on:

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC: split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, mini-splits
• Refrigerant work - leak detection, recovery, charging (EPA 608)
• Thermostats, condensers, blower motors, capacitors, board-level troubleshooting
• Potentially Full system installs and change-outs
• Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance calls (multi-trade days are common - we need well rounded techs)
• Turns/make-readies between residents: punch lists, repairs, light reno
• Property inspections, vacancy checks, move-in/move-out walks
• Document everything with photos in our app (iPhone/iPad - we'll train you in a day)

What you need:

• EPA Universal
• 3+ years hands-on residential HVAC diagnostics and repair
• Your own truck or van and your own hand tools (we reimburse tools and pay $0.76/mile)
• Valid driver's license; live within reasonable distance of Detroit
• Able to pass a background check; attics, crawlspaces, 50 lbs - the usual

Big plus: advanced plumbing (water heaters, drain work), electrical troubleshooting, prior SFR/property maintenance at volume, NATE certification.
