Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring safe operation of complex equipment across multiple systems including BAS controls, chillers, pumps, air handlers, VAVs, walk-ins, refrigerators, and boilers.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of HVAC maintenance experience, 1 year in BAS controls, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid GA driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of maintenance tech experience including HVAC.
• 1 year experience with BAS controls (commercial/healthcare HVAC/BAS) or BAS program graduate.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license and adherence to Piedmont’s vehicle safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment and systems, ensure safe operation of complex systems.
• Work on electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, air handling units, VAVs, chillers, pumps, boilers, and related components.

Specific systems may include: electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, fan powered boxes and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc.) chiller operations, BAS controls, pump operations, water treatment program, air handler units, VAV's, walk-in coolers and freezers, refrigerators, ice machines and boiler operations.
