Job summary

Collins Comfort Masters in Tempe, AZ is seeking a dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled residential maintenance from inspection to repair. You will evaluate issues, explain options to homeowners, and complete approved repairs during maintenance visits.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, verifying operation, identifying repairs, documenting readings, and coordinating with dispatch.

• HVAC maintenance and repair experience preferred; candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn will be considered.

• EPA Section 608 certification.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and perform physical work in residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled residential HVAC maintenance appointments.
• Inspect heating and cooling equipment and verify operation using company procedures.
• Inspect electrical components, motors, coils, heat exchangers, condensate drains, and safety devices as appropriate.
• Check system performance and airflow using assigned measurements and procedures.
• Identify developing concerns and determine what repairs are appropriate.
• Explain findings and repair options in clear language so homeowners can make informed decisions.
• Complete customer-approved repairs identified during maintenance visits.
• Make recommendations based on equipment condition and customer needs, with honesty and no pressure.
• Document readings, photos, findings, recommendations, and completed work accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members throughout the workday.
• Protect the customer’s home and care for the company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Participate in company training and coaching.
• Participate in the company's rotating on-call schedule. All technicians take part in on-call rotation.
• Follow company safety practices, policies, and procedures.
