Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in Houston, TX is seeking an HVAC Lead Installation Technician to oversee residential equipment installation and supervise the Installation Technician to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction.

You will design and fabricate ducts, perform start-ups, train apprentices, and uphold safety and company standards. The role offers an hourly rate of $24–$30 with benefits, plus compensation on equipment and IAQ product sales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of residential installation experience with solid references required.
• EPA and NATE certification preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment and accessories per company standards and manufacturer specs.
• Design, fabricate, and install ducts and duct fittings.
• Perform limited diagnostics.
• Maintain a clean work area and protect client floors during installations.
• Conduct before/after walkthroughs of the home and document damages.
• Complete installation forms reflecting tasks for reporting and future reference.
• Communicate scope of work clearly to customers and address questions or concerns.
• Perform start-ups on heating and cooling systems and related components.
• Maintain safe working conditions for the installation crew.
• Train apprentices on system setup, testing, and safety procedures.

Skills

Residential installation experience

EPA/NATE certification (preferred)

Valid driver’s license
