Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Engineering Test Technician (Levels I–IV) to join a growing HVAC test laboratory in Minneapolis, MN. The role focuses on hands-on testing of HVAC and cooling systems, operating complex lab equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems, document results, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality test data.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related field.
• Experience in a mechanical test lab or field service preferred.
• Fork truck training/license, man lift training/license, refrigerant handling certifications preferred.
• Ability to read procedures and follow ISO standards.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing activities per procedures and ISO standards.
• Set up and operate lab equipment for HVAC and cooling system tests.
• Perform instrument verification checks and routine facility maintenance.
• Identify and report nonconformities and deviations from procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow EH&S policies.
• Document test results and maintain accurate records.
