Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HVAC technician in Maple Grove, MN to service, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC equipment. You will inspect, test, and troubleshoot systems, perform pipefitting and brazing, and educate customers on proper operation and safety.

The role involves leading rebuilds, recording billing and time, and maintaining certifications; a Journeyman status and HVAC certification are required along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accepted as Journeyman by the union.
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality
• Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems
• Conduct intermediate and advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment
• Educate technical and non-technical customers on proper use of equipment
• Lead and participate in the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC level units
• Record and report billing, inventory, and timecards
• Download programs into commercial HVAC equipment and analyze chiller trend data
• Participate in available training
• Maintain all required certifications

Requirements

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Accepted as Journeyman by the union
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
