Job summary

Dorsey College is seeking an HVAC Adjunct Instructor to deliver quality instruction in the HVACTechnician Program, developing students’ technical knowledge and hands-on skills for a career in HVAC. Instructors plan lectures and labs, monitor progress, and maintain professional standards in a motivating classroom environment.

The role requires evening/online sessions and collaboration with Academic Dean and Education department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of HVAC trade experience or equivalent.
• EPA 608 (Type 2) certification required. (Certification must be obtained within 120 days of first day teaching class at Dorsey College and maintained.)
• Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory format.
• Assess student learning using appropriate methods.
• Demonstrate effectiveness with strong outcomes in retention and success.
• Participate in faculty, staff, and in-service meetings.
• Maintain classroom environment in accordance with campus policies.
