Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an Installer Helper to support residential and light commercial HVAC installations. You will assist with equipment install, ducting, and accessories under direct supervision, ensuring safety and quality while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, HVAC training, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. Valid driver's license and willingness to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge including heating, ventilation and air conditioning fundamentals.
• EPA and safety certifications are required.
• Valid licensing or certification as required by local laws.
• Basic ability to read wiring diagrams.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Installer/Lead Installer in installing HVAC equipment in customers' homes or light commercial sites.
• Work under direct supervision of the Installer/Lead Installer.
• Assist with installation of ducts, fittings, and related accessories according to specs.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Represent the company professionally and ethically.
• Help keep vehicles, tools and equipment clean and organized.

Welcome!Assists the Installer or Lead Installer in the installation of residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment and accessories. Work is performed under direct supervision.Key Responsibilities:Works under direct supervision of the Installer or Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer’s homeAssists with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specificationsAssists in the installation of ducts and duct fittingsPerforms duties so as to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfactionAssists in the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation workAssists the Installer or Lead Installer in ensuring company property, vehicles, and tools are being properly used, maintained, and properly accounted forAs needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely mannerRepresents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concernsResponsible with the Installer for keeping installation vehicle clean and neat both inside and outside in keeping with the company’s professional imagePerforms similar/other duties as needed or assignedRegular, reliable attendanceDesired Skills and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferredMust possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work areaEPA and safety certifications requiredBasic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessoriesMechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipmentBasic skills in reading wiring diagramsEffective communication skills to communicate with customer and to provide excellent customer serviceEffective and efficient time-management and organizational skillsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAvailable to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as neededAbility to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units.
