Job summary

Jet Industries Inc. is a nationwide, family-owned contractor delivering heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance services.

We seek skilled HVAC installers to join our on-site teams, reading blueprints, laying out ductwork, installing units and components, and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on every project. You will work with a safety-first, collaborative team; a valid driver’s license and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years HVAC installation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Active driver’s license in the state of work.
• Basic proficiency in English for safety and on-site communication.

Responsibilities

• Install sheet metal components (ductwork, roofing, siding) per blueprints and project specs.
• Install HVAC units, electrical and mechanical components.
• Cut and shape sheet metal to meet dimensions.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units; service electronic and mechanical components.
• Read and follow project drawings, ensure proper alignment and secure fastenings.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Install sheet metal components, including ductwork, roofing, siding, and other metal products, according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Installation of HVAC units, electronic, and mechanical components.
• Cut and shape sheet metal using various cutting equipment to meet project dimensions.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components.
• Lay out and position sheet metal components based on project drawings and specifications, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to design requirements
• Reads blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Secure sheet metal components in place using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, welding, or soldering techniques. Ensure that all fastenings are done securely to withstand environmental conditions.
• Operates a variety of equipment, such as hand tools and diagnostic hardware.
• Operates various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments.
• Install or gas lines.
• Conserve, install, and recycle CFC and HCFC (Chlorofluorocarbon family) refrigerants if certified.
• Comply with the standards for HVAC systems as dictated by the State where the work is being done.
• Brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication may be performed if certified.
• Install Condensate pipping

Minimum Qualifications And Experience

• An active driver’s license within the state where work is conducted.
• 4+ years of HVAC installation experience
• Ability to read blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Ability to check work email (smartphone, computer, tablet, etc) - the company provides a $10 stipend for data.
• Basic Proficiency in English required. Candidates must have a basic understanding of English for safety purposes and to communicate with colleagues, vendors, and contractors on-site effectively. The ability to follow instructions and engage with the team is essential for success in this role.
