Job summary

Great Dane Heating & Air Conditioning in Michigan is seeking an HVAC Install Lead to oversee residential system replacements and retrofits, applying metalwork expertise and strong installation planning. You will train apprentices, ensure high-quality work, and deliver outstanding customer service.

This role emphasizes safety, leadership from start to finish with an HVAC Helper, and advising customers on options, maintenance, and best practices for comfort and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience; lead/supervisory experience preferred.
• EPA Universal License is required.
• Valid driver's license and clean background check.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to educate customers on options.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of new residential HVAC systems from start to finish.
• Lead installations per the established plan and adjust as needed.
• Work alongside an HVAC Helper to complete daily tasks.
• Provide customers with maintenance tips and advisories on options.

As our HVAC Install Lead, it is your responsibility to oversee system replacements, including new installations and retrofits, by utilizing expertise in metalwork and strategizing efficient installation plans. You will also train apprentices, ensure high-quality installations, and deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to company values.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Providing top-notch customer service while installing new residential HVAC systems. Note: This role does not involve new construction or commercial work.
• Leading installations from start to finish, adhering to the established plan for the job and making necessary adjustments.
• Working alongside a HVAC Helper, assisting with daily tasks.
• Offering customers advice and maintenance tips for their HVAC systems.

What Does It Take:

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience. Lead/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Boiler Install Experience preferred
• EPA Universal License is required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Clear background check, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and drug screen.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and educating customers on all options.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
