Job summary

McAfee Heating & Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Technician to install residential heating and cooling systems and lead installation projects. You will ensure quality workmanship and a safe, clean job site while communicating clearly with homeowners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II required; Universal preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install residential heating and cooling systems per standards and specs.
• Remove and replace HVAC equipment, indoor and outdoor units.
• Install and modify ductwork for optimal performance.
• Complete installations safely, efficiently, and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site during installations.
• Accurately complete all required job documentation.
• Explain operation of new equipment to homeowners; communicate professionally.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Install residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Remove and replace HVAC equipment, including indoor and outdoor units.
• Install and modify ductwork as needed for system performance.
• Complete installations safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout each installation.
• Accurately complete all required job documentation.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain the operation of newly installed equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment installation and ductwork modifications
• Ability to install indoor and outdoor equipment with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of HVAC tools, testing devices, and installation best practices
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II required; Universal preferred)
• NATE Certification is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Work Environment

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
