Job summary

H.E. Neumann Company is seeking a motivated Residential HVAC Installer Helper to support Lead Installers with the installation of residential heating and cooling systems. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience, safety-focused training, and opportunities to grow within the HVAC trade.

You will assist with installations, load and transport tools, and help maintain high-quality work. No prior HVAC experience is required, but a willingness to learn and strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop a career in the HVAC trade.
• Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
• EPA Certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Installers with installation and replacement of residential HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, mini-splits).
• Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
• Remove and dispose of existing HVAC equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with installing ductwork, line sets, condensate drains, venting, thermostats, and other HVAC components under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment with care and safety.
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and manufacturer specs.
• Provide courteous and professional service in customers’ homes.
• Learn HVAC installation techniques from experienced installers.
• Perform other duties to support the installation team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
