Davis Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead and develop the residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service team. You will oversee daily field operations, coordinate with dispatch, monitor KPIs, and manage budgets and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer escalation skills, with a focus on delivering quality service and improving overall performance.

Qualifications

• Residential HVAC, plumbing, or electrical service expertise.
• Strong operational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing KPIs, productivity, revenue, and service performance.
• Ability to handle customer escalations and high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of OSHA and field safety requirements.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the field service team.
• Oversee daily field service operations.
• Enter daily huddle numbers (sales, sold hour, MTD, TGLS, HG sold).
• Address customer complaints to reach understanding.
• Gather equipment and materials for installs for installers to collect.
• Answer questions about WaterFurnace geothermal for customers and sales.
• Coordinate with dispatch to assign the right technicians and resources.
• Monitor KPIs, callbacks, labor hours, service quality, and dept performance.
• Set expectations and hold the team accountable.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard technicians.
• Identify training needs and develop technicians.
• Ensure OSHA, safety, and company standards are followed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and controlling expenses.
• Partner with dispatch, sales, technicians, and leadership to improve ops.
• Identify problems quickly and implement solutions.
• Build a positive, accountable high-performing service team.

What You’ll Do

• Identify training needs and help technicians continue developing their skills
• Ensure OSHA, safety, and company standards are followed
