Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 1 in Wisconsin to join our field team. You will deliver portable HVAC equipment, perform basic service, and assist in the shop to keep gear organized and ready for rental.

The role requires 1–2 years in a service-related role, basic math, and a valid driver’s license. You will learn to operate, use, and troubleshoot equipment and may be on-call for weekend emergencies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Basic math skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the authorized operator (and/or customer) on the safe use of the equipment.
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows all safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance meet standards.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Installs gas hose on propane and natural gas applications and checks connections.
• Maintains records of in-stock and rented equipment; on-call for emergency service.
