Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 1 to deliver portable HVAC equipment, operate and repair gear, and help keep the shop clean and safe while supporting other technicians on large jobs.

You will communicate with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, sign paperwork, track serial numbers and ensure equipment is ready for rental; on‑call for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a service role interacting with customers
• Basic math skills required
• Must be mechanically inclined and safety‑minded
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work required

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, managers and engineers to schedule deliveries, pickups and service calls
• Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train operators on safe use
• Sign paperwork and track equipment serial numbers
• Troubleshoot operation and controls of rental equipment
• Operate company vehicle safely and follow safety policies
• Clean and test returned equipment, ensuring readiness and appearance
• Process delivery, pickup and service paperwork
• Install gas hoses for propane and natural gas applications
• Maintain accurate records of in-stock and rented gear
• Be on call for emergency service on a rotating schedule
