W.B. Guimarin & Company is seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. You will fabricate and install ductwork, read blueprints, and collaborate with foremen and plumbers on commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years HVAC sheet metal fabrication or mechanical construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand HVAC layouts.
• Experience fabricating and assembling ductwork and sheet metal components.
• Knowledge of HVAC materials and building codes.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, brakes, shears and fabrication equipment.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Stable work history and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble HVAC ductwork, fittings, hangers, and related mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction documents.
• Measure, cut, form, and assemble sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Work closely with foremen, technicians, plumbers, and other trades on commercial construction projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site.
