Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with HVAC ductwork preferred.
• Experience with residential duct installation and/or new construction.
• Knowledge of duct installation, fabrication, sealing, insulation.
• Able to read duct layouts, plans, measurements.
• Safe use of hand tools and power tools; must own tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace, and modify residential HVAC duct systems.
• Install ductwork for new construction per plans and specifications.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and related components.
• Seal, insulate, and secure ductwork for efficient airflow.
• Read and interpret duct layouts, measurements, and construction plans.
• Inspect completed ductwork for proper installation and workmanship.
• Identify and rectify ductwork leaks and airflow issues.
• Maintain communication with Management and other team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Duct Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, repairing, modifying, and replacing HVAC duct systems in residential and new construction settings.

The Duct Mechanic will be responsible for completing ductwork installations and repairs accurately, efficiently, and according to company standards and job specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and is able to work independently while maintaining good communication with Management and other team members.

This position is available as either a full-time employee or subcontractor opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace, and modify residential HVAC duct systems
• Install ductwork for new construction projects according to plans and specifications
• Fabricate, assemble, and properly install ductwork and related components
• Properly seal, insulate, and secure ductwork to ensure efficient airflow
• Read and interpret duct layouts, measurements, and construction plans
• Inspect completed ductwork to ensure proper installation and workmanship
• Identify and correct ductwork issues, including leaks, poor connections, and airflow concerns
• Maintain good communication with Management, Installation, Service, and other team members
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Properly maintain and use tools and equipment required for the job
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with HVAC ductwork preferred
• Experience with residential HVAC duct installation and/or new construction
• Knowledge of duct installation, fabrication, sealing, and insulation
• Ability to read and follow duct layouts, plans, and measurements
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
• Must own tools for the trade
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Clean background and drug free
• Fluency in English. Bilingual is a plus
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
