Job summary

Munters in Dallas, TX seeks an HVAC Data Center Technician to travel up to 90% for startup, commissioning and service of Data Center equipment. Independent work style and strong diagnostic skills are required for on-site troubleshooting and coordination with other trades.

Applicants should have 5+ years in HVAC, refrigeration expertise, electrical troubleshooting, and familiarity with PLCs. Safety training and a state license are beneficial; good communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the HVAC field.
Travel up to 90% across the USA by plane and car.
Electrical troubleshooting proficiency.
Knowledge of safety procedures: Arc flash, lockout-tagout and PPE.
Extensive refrigeration knowledge; brazing and soldering; universal refrigeration card.
Experience with controls/ PLCs; access data from PLCs and make changes.
Optional State Licensed Master HVAC mechanic.
Strong written and verbal communications.
Self-motivated; able to work independently.
Ability to coordinate with Sales PM, Service Manager and Technical Support.

Responsibilities

Perform factory start-up, commissioning, warranty and billable service on Data Center equipment.
Maintain and protect Munters equipment and property.
Respond promptly to service requests from customers or management.
Provide customer training on Munters equipment.
Provide field service reports with technical feedback.
Collaborate with team to meet customer needs and timelines.
