Gemaire Distributors is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to drive sales at our HVAC supply counter. You will assist contractors and homeowners, answer product questions, and help customers select the right equipment.

Based in Florida, this full-time role emphasizes customer service, accurate order entry, and collaboration with internal teams to meet schedules. Standard hours are Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, plus opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in HVAC.
• Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams, outside sales reps, vendors, and contractors.
• Enter customer orders and help customers select products with targeted questions.
• Recommend substitutes based on availability and customer needs.
• Research and source products using multiple tools to meet specs.
• Respond to inquiries about product info, pricing, quotes, pickup or delivery timelines.
• Proactively communicate with customers about order status and delays.
• Process billing, accounting, and shipping to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Maintain product folders and price sheets as required.
• Complete full sales order process and upsell related items.
• Manage showroom merchandising and restocking for an appealing sales floor.
• Comply with safety policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Accountable for other duties as assigned.
