Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC commissioning technician to perform system commissioning using company tools, diagnose basic issues, and respond to warranty calls on commercial systems. You will provide solutions that improve building efficiency and act as a trusted advisor on site.

Qualified candidates have a vocational/associate degree in a relevant field and 1–3 years of HVAC experience, with strong PC skills and the ability to explain technical info to varied audiences.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational schooling or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, or HVAC-related field plus 3 years of industry experience or 1 year servicing HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site prep and servicing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills to professionally represent Johnson Controls to customers.
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical people.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical and controls problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls and provide high level service to resolve inefficiencies.
• Load system-level controller software and complete required commissioning documentation.
• Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
