Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a Controls Technician (HVAC) to install, program, start‑up and service building automation and HVAC control systems in the Michigan area. You will work on air-conditioning, heating, ventilation and energy management projects, diagnosing issues and optimizing performance for commercial facilities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in HVAC controls or building automation, experience with Distech and Niagara environments, own hand tools and a clean driving record;

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in HVAC controls or building automation systems
• Familiar with Facility Explorer / CCT
• Experience with Distech controller line and GFX programming
• Proficient in Niagara environment (EC-Net/Webs/Lynxspring/Vykon or similar)
• Honeywell controls experience preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of DraftSight
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Visio
• Field experience with commercial HVAC systems and controls integration
• Working knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, and rooftop HVAC systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair control systems and associated HVAC equipment
• Must have your own hand tools
• Must have a clean driving record
• OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred)
