The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in HVAC, along with strong project management and communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary between $76,000 and $110,000, along with a performance-based bonus plan.

What will you do

• Act as onsite project leader to plan, implement, and complete control systems projects.
• Perform or delegate tasks including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning and project closeout.
• Assume responsibility for overall financial results of projects – costs, billings, and collections.
• Maintain a balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results.
• Pursue selling change orders to grow revenue.
• Coordinate communication with customers throughout all project phases.
• Ensure proper execution of warranties.
• Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration.
• Ensure all work complies with state, local and federal legal requirements and safety standards.

How will you do it

• Complete hardware design and software programming using established standards.
• Communicate design and operation details to customers, Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors.
• Evaluate contractual scope and impact of client‑issued bulletins, field directives, and scheduling changes.
• Manage selection, ordering, budgeting, and delivery schedule of materials.
• Secure pricing and availability from vendors, mechanical and electrical subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes.
• Coordinate jobsite panel and field device locations.
• Ensure installation complies with Johnson Controls literature and project requirements.
• Manage loading, device verification, commissioning and validate system functionality.
• Resolve issues with subcontractors to ensure accurate operation.
• Provide accurate project as‑built and commissioning documentation.
• Manage costs, billings, and collections, delivering timely and accurate client invoices.
• Coaching, mentoring and technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers and System Designers.
• Communicate project status to management and provide monthly revenue, cost and margin forecasts.
• Send warranty letter to customer upon substantial completion and ensure warranty execution.
• Develop project plans, coordinate resources, and ensure timely, cost‑effective installation and completion.
• Conduct site‑specific training for owner/operator on the system operation.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

What we look for

• Required – Associate’s degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent HVAC industry experience.
• Relevant technical hands‑on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non‑technical audience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong personal computer skills.
• Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles and contracting is preferred.

Salary & Bonus

Base salary range: $76,000 – $110,000. This role offers a competitive bonus plan based on individual, group and corporate performance.
