Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled technician in the Phoenix area to lead commissioning and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, using Johnson Controls tools and configurations, and to provide service call support that adds value for customers.

You will calibrate systems, document work, and communicate progress to contractors and customers while following safety standards and training.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, HVAC, or related field, or 2+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems and facilities management.
• Ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
• Leadership to support mechanics on non-complex building automation equipment.
• Proficiency with PC and HVAC software programming.
• Ability to program HVAC control software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning and load controller software.
• Conduct basic diagnostics from controllers to sensors and actuators.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Respond to warranty calls and complete documentation.
• Calibrate systems using electronic test equipment.
• Maintain timesheets and expense reports.
• Communicate job progress to JCI contractors or customers.
• Follow safety standards and training.
• Recommend improvements and upsell opportunities, including quoting support.
