Job summary

Soap Creek Resources seeks a seasoned Superintendent to manage scheduling of materials, manpower and equipment for plumbing installations. You will oversee quality, safety, and field team performance while building strong relations with contractors and trade partners.

You will read plans, perform takeoffs, estimate costs, and review cost controls. A California driver license and 7+ years in a PM/Superintendent role are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management, Engineering, or related field desirable; experience can compensate for education.
• Seven or more years' experience as a full-charge Project Manager/Superintendent.
• California Class C Driver License with good DMV record required.
• Knowledge of Plumbing/HVAC construction.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read plans, perform takeoffs, estimating and cost reviews.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material, equipment and manpower scheduling for plumbing system installations.
• Oversee project quality and safety; build solid contractor relationships.
• Open communication between job site and project manager; ensure material availability.
• Manage field personnel and plan manpower for each project.
• Inspect work, track progress, changes and cost controls.
• Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets and quality specs.

Job description

The duties of the Superintendent is to be responsible for the scheduling of material, equipment and manpower for installation of plumbing systems. Will also oversee the quality of the projects and build strong relationships with contractors and trade partners.

Significant Duties:

• Open and maintain a clear channel of communication between job site and project manager. Ensure all material is available when needed, working with Purchasing in order to meet goals
• Manage field employees, scheduling of manpower for each assigned project
• Inspect and verify job quality, progress, changes, safety, and production
• Assure that all jobs are completed on time, under estimated budgets and within quality specifications as defined by customer and Company.
• Field labor and material management: Identify labor and material problem jobs; correct the problem and enact budget adjustments to protect revenue stream
• Observe and ensure job site safety during project management visits
• Maintain relationships with Builder operations
• Steadily add new qualified manpower to grow the business
• Must be able to read plans, perform takeoffs, estimating and reviewing cost controls.
• Provide technical support to field personnel

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management, Engineering, or related field is desirable. Experience will compensate for education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• California Class C Driver License, with good DMV record is required.
• Seven or more years' of experience as a full charge Project Manager/ Superintendent
• Knowledge of Plumbing/HVAC construction
• High proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Must be able to operate and travel by vehicle for extended times, up to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to use critical thinking to effectively solve issues

Ability to communicate well, motivate the team, delegate responsibilities, listen to feedback, and delegate responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

The position of Superintendent requires that you are able to lift objects that weight up to 75 pounds, occasionally climb a ladder, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist. Exposed to constant work in outdoor weather conditions. Travel to jobsites will be necessary and would require the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
