The State of South Carolina seeks a Chiller Supervisor for the SCDC to oversee all chillers and supervise assigned inmates and chiller operators. You will manage emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and materials requisitions, plus training across the agency to improve efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma with HVAC experience and EPA Class 2 certification, plus the ability to supervise and coordinate personnel. Four weeks of agency training is required.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements

High school diploma and experience in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems or in the operation and maintenance of HVAC mechanical and building control systems.

SCDC Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma and five (5) years of trades experience directly related to chillers.
• A degree in a related field of study may be substituted for the required five (5) years of experience.
• Must be EPA (class 2) certified for refrigerant handling.
• Must be able to supervise, direct, instruct and work effectively with other people.
