Job summary

LG Electronics is hiring a Chiller Application Engineer to support the selection, application, and technical sales of LG chillers and heat pumps across the U.S. market. The role collaborates with Sales, Product Management, and Service teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and LG capabilities.

Responsibilities include equipment sizing, performance analysis, and technical documentation. Travel domestically and occasionally internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience in application engineering or related roles.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, heat transfer, hydronics, pumps, controls.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs, diagrams, and HVAC codes.
• Experience with engineering calculations and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
• Strong writing, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide application engineering support for LG chillers and heat pumps, including equipment selection, sizing, and performance analysis.
• Evaluate project requirements including loads, operating conditions, flow rates, pressure drop, sound requirements, electrical characteristics, and system configurations.
• Develop competitive equipment selections using LG software and engineering tools.
• Review designs to ensure compatibility with LG equipment requirements.
• Support consulting engineers, contractors, owners, and sales teams with technical recommendations.
• Interpret plans and codes to prepare submittals and technical responses.
