Job summary

Equity Real Estate Management (EREM) is seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to inspect and maintain property, buildings and equipment to keep them safe and attractive. You will perform unit make-readies, handle service requests, supervise contractors, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Candidates should have hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs, basic data entry, strong communication, and the ability to read/write English.

Qualifications

• Professional image and strong communication are required.
• Fluency in English (Spanish or other languages a plus).
• Ability to read and write technical and safety information.
• Basic math and data entry skills needed.
• Experience with general maintenance in multifamily properties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain property, buildings and equipment.
• Complete unit make-readies and service requests promptly.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality work.
• Ensure grounds and units are safe and attractive; inspect regularly.
• Address emergencies (sewer backups, floods, lighting) promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain inventories of supplies and equipment.
• Document work and safety records as required.
• Assist with on-site disturbances and property emergencies.
• Attend safety trainings and industry seminars.
