Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to independently handle work orders, support preventative maintenance, and upkeep across communities in Durham, NC. The role requires HVAC certification and knowledge of routine repairs.

You will work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call rotation for emergencies and occasional resident events. The company offers a robust career path and benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED equivalent is required or preferred.
  • Two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
  • EPA/HVAC certification and CPO certification are a plus; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assure all service requests are completed by Hawthorne standards.
  • Repair and restore vacant apartments to make ready status for the next move-in.
  • Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning.
  • Completion of preventative maintenance according to company policy.
  • Promote good professional relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff.
