Job summary

TurnPoint Services in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an Apprentice HVAC to start a hands-on training path in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. You will join a team that values safety and customer service while you learn the trade under experienced mentors.

You’ll train with journeymen, gain real-world field experience, and work toward becoming a licensed HVAC technician. The program covers installation, maintenance, safety, and client support within a supportive, safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Willing to participate in an apprenticeship program and training.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Strong math skills and interpretation of data and graphs.
• Comfort using computers and basic software tools.
• Physical stamina to lift equipment and work outdoors safely.
• Eagerness to learn from journeymen and grow in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of systems.
• Attend apprenticeship classes and pass classroom and hands-on assessments.
• Learn and apply proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and piping; support wiring and testing.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance under guidance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing friendly service.
• Participate in ongoing hands-on training to build technical knowledge.
• Work closely with experienced technicians to gain practical field experience.
