Job summary

Lane Valente Industries in Rockford, IL is seeking an HVAC JR. Mechanic apprentice to assist seasoned technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems for national accounts.

You will read blueprints, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site support while building hands-on expertise. A strong willingness to learn and flexible hours including overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and on-site repairs when required.
• A willingness to learn, with flexibility for overtime and some travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use hand-tools and follow blueprints to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and modifications as needed.
• Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing layout and coordinating work.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment records and ensure timely paperwork.
• Provide technical support to customers and communicate findings to operations.
• Travel as needed and be willing to work overtime/weekends.
