Job summary

Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is seeking reliable Apartment Maintenance Technicians with strong HVAC experience to support multifamily communities. This is a multifamily maintenance role, not HVAC-only, combining HVAC upkeep with general maintenance, unit turns, and make-readies.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units, preparing units for new residents, completing resident work orders, and assisting with renovations.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification (required - no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
• Must own personal tools and HVAC gauges
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and unit make-ready processes
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units
• Prepare units for new residents (make-ready/punch process)
• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
• Repair major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers
• Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs
• Maintain community curb appeal and cleanliness
• Assist with renovation or property upgrade projects as needed
