Sargent & Lundy offers a hybrid work arrangement for this position, allowing three days in the office and two days remote from Farmington Hills, Michigan. The role focuses on detailed wiring design for HV substations, producing SLDs, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules in collaboration with engineers.

Responsibilities include mentoring newer designers, interpreting vendor data, and conducting client walkdowns at substations.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience in detailed wiring design.
• Familiarity with wiring diagrams for HV Substations, preferred.
• Associate's Degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
• Advanced knowledge of computer drafting tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.
• Knowledge of design techniques and technical plans.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare design deliverables based on input from substation design and protection and control engineers (e.g., SLDs, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules).
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to new designers.
• Incorporate vendor information into design deliverables and conduct client walkdowns at substations.
