Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Manager, HV Maintenance to lead high-voltage maintenance strategy across wind, solar, and storage facilities. You will supervise planned maintenance, support outage restoration, and help develop an in-house HV/MV technician team, including planning, safety, scope, and day-to-day oversight.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years in the energy industry; 4+ years HV/MV testing or substation maintenance.
  • Experience supervising MV/HV testing or maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA safety requirements, grounding, and LOTO.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planned substation maintenance by contractors or in-house technicians with safe, high-quality execution and documentation.
  • Build and lead an in-house HV/MV technician team for inspections, testing, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop HV/MV technicians; establish team structure, tools, safety practices, and performance standards.
  • Manage scheduling, callouts, outage response, and resource prioritization across sites.
  • Develop transitions of MV/HV maintenance from contractor to in-house when safe and cost-effective.
  • Develop procedures for in-house testing, maintenance, and repair.
  • Manage budgets and expenses for labor, equipment, contractors, and tools.
  • Provide technical guidance on HV/MV transformers, collection systems, and cables.
  • Review test results, switching plans, LOTO plans, outage coordination and maintenance docs.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEEE, and NETA safety procedures.
  • Maintain records and generate summaries for operations, engineering, asset management and compliance.
  • Support Operations Electrical Engineering with open items and special projects.
