Job summary

KPIT is a global technology company advancing mobility through embedded software, AI and digital solutions. We seek an experienced HV electrical distribution design engineer to join our automotive team in Michigan.

You will own design, packaging and integration of HV components, perform 3D routing in CATIA/NX/Siemens Capital, and develop documentation while ensuring HV safety and ISO standards. Collaboration with Battery and Vehicle Integration teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in design and release of automotive HV distribution systems.
Strong knowledge of HV wiring harnesses, busbars, connectors, and thermal management.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and release of automotive High Voltage electrical distribution systems.
Own the packaging and integration of HV components within vehicle and battery architectures.
Perform 3D CAD routing, clearance analysis, and release of 2D engineering drawings using CATIA, NX, or Siemens Capital.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including DFMEA, DVP&R, and design specifications.
Ensure compliance with HV safety requirements, creepage and clearance, EMC/EMI, and protection strategies.
Support component sourcing, prototype builds, design reviews, and issue resolution across the product lifecycle.
