Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HV construction and operations of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and substations. This full-time on-site role is based on a project site in Texas or Denver, CO and will involve travel.

You will coordinate with the Project Engineer, review agreements, assist in budgeting, manage HV subcontractors, participate in meetings, and help ensure safety and on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of work experience in design and/or construction of power substations.
• PMP certification, or direct relevant industry experience, preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate scheduling (P6 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate all Project Engineer responsibilities to achieve project success.
• Review Power Purchase Agreements, Generator Interconnection Agreements, Utility Interconnection requirements, Contract requirements, System Impact Studies, Facility Studies, and Customer/Owner Engineer requirements to ensure project compliance.
• Review LNTP/Early Stage Deliverables.
• Assist in preparing HV budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in developing subcontractor scopes of work and support subcontracting efforts with PM.
• Manage HV subcontractors (billings, RFIs, status reports, risk, etc.).
• HV scope change management.
• Participate in Project Kick-Off Meetings.
• Manage and collect RFI’s.
• Participate in Utility Coordination Meetings and Owner Coordination Meetings.
• Participate in SE Team Meetings and Material Procurement.
• Review Hold Construction Schedule & Scope Review Meeting, Kick-off Meeting (On-Site).
• Manage – Assemble Final Completion Punchlist.
• Participate in team meetings/calls on a regular basis.
• Work with Engineering team for material procurement.
• Maintain a safe work environment and direct safe work practices in energized substations.
• Regular travel (local and inter-state) required.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description Summary: The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for overall support of HV construction/operation resulting in successful project execution. Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3-4 years of work related experience in design and/or construction of power substations
• PMP certification, or direct relevant industry experience preferred, skilled with knowledge related to the construction and operation of the electrical equipment and installation
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency and knowledgeable in office practices, procedures and equipment
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate P6 scheduling experience preferred

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

Requires frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 20 or more lbs.

Constant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, talk, and possess depth perception.

Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places.

Occasional exposure to environmental conditions.

Compensation Range: $97,767.00 - $122,209.00 Pay Rate Type: Salary
