Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Anchorage is seeking a Sales Outfitter - Firearms to assist customers at the gun counter, provide knowledgeable guidance on firearms and ammunition, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

As part of our team you will greet customers, identify needs, demonstrate products, and help maintain organized shelves while upholding Bass Pro Shops' legendary service and policies. This role requires 21+ and adherence to ATF/GCA rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Retail.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Knowledge and Experience Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition.
• Knowledge in ATF Federal and State Regulations.
• Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition.
• GCA
• Ability to Merchandise and Stock Merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with firearm purchases and related products.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC and In Store Pick up.
• Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers when appropriate.
• Maintain gun counter and merchandise on shelves per guidelines.
• Keep work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

***POSITION SUMMARY:***The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance and direction to customers.***ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**** Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
