Job summary

FieldAI is seeking a Software/Research Engineer to build learning systems powering humanoid robots. You will work across whole-body loco-manipulation, reinforcement learning, motion retargeting, and real-world deployment, bridging research, simulation, and hardware.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to turn ideas into deployed capabilities, with exposure to production-quality software and a fast-paced R&D environment in the US.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, ML, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with reinforcement learning and/or imitation learning for robotics.
• Strong robotics fundamentals: kinematics, dynamics, control, physical interaction.
• Experience simulating and deploying robotic systems on hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop and train whole-body loco-manipulation policies for humanoid robots.
• Deploy policies to physical humanoids and integrate into production software.
• Advance motion retargeting to translate human motion to robot behavior.
• Reduce sim-to-real gap by improving simulators with real-world data.
• Build evaluation systems to accelerate moving policies to hardware.
• Improve scalability of robot-learning infrastructure for rapid experimentation.
• Collaborate across perception, learning, simulation, and hardware teams.
