Job summary

The UN Secretariat in Panama City is seeking an Associate Human Rights Officer to research, collect, and analyze human rights information, including gender dimensions, from diverse sources. You will draft reports, participate in consultations, and support data-driven planning and reporting.

You will contribute to training programs, engage with authorities and civil society, and assist in technical analysis, field missions, and capacity-building activities across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Master's or equivalent in human rights, law, political science, international relations, social sciences, economics, public policy, sustainable development, or humanitarian affairs.

Responsibilities

• Research and collect human rights information from diverse sources.
• Analyze information and draft reports and correspondence.
• Participate in hearings and consultations and summarize outcomes.
• Contribute to human rights training programs and capacity building.
• Engage with authorities and stakeholders to promote international human rights standards.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting using data visualization.
