Job summary

Walbridge seeks a Human Resource Specialist for a long-term construction project in the United States. You will champion our culture, guide HR processes, and advise staff and management to foster positive employee relations and a productive work environment.

You will collaborate with on-site supervisors, support Talent Acquisition, and ensure compliance with EEO and OFCCP requirements while overseeing wellness initiatives and investigations into employee relations matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, I/O psychology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience.
• Experience in a specific HR specialty area (recruitment, relations, benefits).
• Proficiency in HRIS, databases, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 10%.

Qualifications

To Qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, and a 3-5 years of HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, team member relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HR information systems, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Excellent time management, organization skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 10%.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience working in a construction or unionized environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
