The Corporate HR Manager manages day-to-day Human Resources activities supporting assigned corporate functions and provides guidance to leaders and employees across a range of HR matters. This role leads a team responsible for delivering consistent HR support while partnering with HR functions to execute established programs, processes, and organizational priorities.
Manages day-to-day Human Resources support for assigned corporate functions, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of HR programs and services.
Provides guidance to leaders and employees regarding company policies, employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, and other Human Resources matters.
Manages employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance issues, investigations, corrective actions, and other employee situations.
Partners with Human Resources Business Partners and business leaders to understand workforce needs and support execution of established Human Resources priorities.
Supports organizational changes, restructurings, promotions, transfers, and other workforce actions by coordinating activities across appropriate Human Resources functions.
Partners with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting activities, hiring decisions, offers, and onboarding for assigned client groups.
Supports execution of annual talent processes, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development activities.
Partners with Compensation to support job evaluations, promotions, compensation actions, and annual compensation programs.
Coordinates with Benefits, Payroll, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and other Human Resources teams to resolve employee issues and ensure effective delivery of HR programs.
Supports employee engagement activities and works with leaders to address employee feedback and workplace concerns.
Reviews workforce data and Human Resources metrics to identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensures consistent application of Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices across assigned client groups.
Maintains knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations and escalates complex or higher-risk matters as appropriate.
Identifies opportunities to improve Human Resources processes, workflows, and service delivery within assigned areas.
Manages the day-to-day work of team members, including assigning priorities, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback, and supporting employee development.
Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
6 to 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
1 to 3 years of people management experience.
Experience supporting corporate or professional employee populations preferred.
Experience across multiple Human Resources disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent management, and workforce actions preferred.
Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Strong knowledge of Human Resources practices, policies, and processes across multiple HR disciplines.
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Ability to manage day-to-day Human Resources operations and ensure consistent execution of established programs and processes.
Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate issues and determine appropriate actions.
Ability to coach and guide leaders through routine and moderately complex employee matters.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple employee and business needs simultaneously.
Ability to build productive working relationships with leaders, employees, and Human Resources partners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and sound judgment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for operational reporting, team management, analysis, and leadership communication.
Working knowledge of Human Resources information systems and employee data management practices.
Leads day-to-day team activities by establishing priorities, providing clear direction, and ensuring work is completed accurately and timely.
Develops team members through regular coaching, feedback, performance management, and opportunities to strengthen their Human Resources capabilities.
Builds productive relationships with leaders, employees, and Human Resources partners to support effective execution of HR programs and processes.
Applies sound judgment when addressing employee matters and knows when issues require escalation or additional expertise.
Solves operational challenges by identifying root causes, evaluating available information, and implementing practical solutions.
Maintains accountability for consistent and accurate execution of Human Resources processes within assigned areas.
Communicates clearly and professionally when addressing sensitive employee matters and explaining Human Resources policies and processes.
Adapts to changing business priorities while maintaining effective day-to-day Human Resources operations and team performance.
Performs work primarily in a standard office environment and must be able to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computer, with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of light office materials.
This position includes direct reports and is responsible for the day-to-day management and development of assigned Human Resources team members.
