Job summary

SEB Professional North America in Irvine, CA is seeking an Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development and Employee Relations. You will ensure compliance with laws and align with corporate policies, culture and values while driving process improvements.

The role reports to the VP of Human Resources and requires at least 5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced, international environment. Hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in an international, fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Propose and implement policies compliant with local, state, and federal laws to improve HR efficiency.
• Partner with leaders to align workforce plans with hiring needs and growth objectives.
• Develop strategic workforce planning, processes and tools.
• Manage learning and development initiatives and measure effectiveness.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, and corrective action.
• Support talent management programs including annual reviews and development planning.
• Lead HR policy communications and change management aligned with CSR.
• Ensure a safe, ethical working environment.
• Oversee office operations and supervise support staff.
• Lead HR projects aligned with corporate priorities.

Job description

What we will achieve together:

The Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations. Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources, this role oversees the full employee life cycle, including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Development, and Employee Relations.

The HR Manager is also responsible for driving continuous improvements in HR process and operational efficiency, while ensuring alignment with corporate policies, culture, and organizational values.

Base Salary Range: up to $115,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Propose and implement policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal laws to effect continual improvements in efficiency of HR departments services performed.
• Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs and create effective plans to meet current hiring needs and company growth objectives.
• Develop strategic workforce planning, processes, and tools to ensure effective plans to meet current hiring needs and company growth objectives.
• Manage learning and development initiatives by assessing training needs, facilitating training programs, and evaluating and measuring effectiveness through participant feedback and performance metrics.
• Manage employee relations issues, by addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations and implementing corrective action to maintain a positive and compliant work environment.
• Support talent management programs, including annual review, talent review and development planning, through clear communication, training and effective process follow-up.
• Lead communication of HR policies, procedures, and change management initiatives, including alignment with corporate social responsibility activities, to foster a motivated and connected workforce.
• Ensure and appropriate working environment based on Groupe SEB's code of ethics, policies, and procedures that align with health and safety compliance.
• Manage office operations, including oversight of administrative responsibilities and supervision of temporary or outsourced support staff.
• Lead key HR projects in with corporate priorities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a company with international presence and fast paced environment.
• Strong comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and project s simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of recruitment and selection processes.
• Certificate such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
