Caterpillar Inc. in Goldsboro, NC, seeks an Human Resources Manager to partner with facility operations leadership to deliver strategic people goals. You will join the Integrated Components Division and help create a positive Caterpillar Experience for all employees, while prioritizing safety and workforce development.

This role leads HR policies, compliance, talent attraction and retention, and coaching of the HR assistant. It requires working onsite five days a week, with minimal travel (<10%); relocation is available for this position.

Qualifications

• HR Certification preferred and knowledge of HR policies and compliance.
• Experience partnering with leadership to deliver people strategies.
• Ability to build Lean culture and Caterpillar experience.

Integrated Components Division, part of Resource Industries segment, designs and manufactures quality wear and maintenance components which exceed Caterpillar customer's expectations, such as: Fluids & Filters, Hose & Couplings, and Seals, Tubes & Hardware.

As the Human Resources Manager for our manufacturing facility Goldsboro, NC, you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for Caterpillar people – employees, leaders and the communities within which we live and work – by partnering with facility operations leadership to deliver strategic goals supporting our people.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for end-to-end people strategy and implementation.
• Partner with operations leadership to deliver strategic people goals.
• Actively participate on the facility leadership team, ensuring the focus on safety and people as integral to the strategy.
• Lead efforts to achieve a positive Caterpillar Experience for all employees.
• Provide direction and guidance on HR policies and procedures and advise leaders on interpretation and application to ensure consistency.
• Provide solutions to attract, develop and retain talent.
• Lead local administration of employment practices, compliance, training.
• Lead and coach HR assistant.

What You Will Have:

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision‑making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
• Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to flex work schedule both early and late as necessary to support multiple shift operation.
• Degree or equivalent experience desired.

What Will Set You Apart:

• HR Certification.
• Strong understanding of HR Policies, compliance requirements, compensation and benefits, and performance management.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with leadership to deliver people and/or business strategies and initiatives to build Lean culture and create a positive Caterpillar experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions.

Minimum travel is expected, less than 10%

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
