Job summary

Pentair offers a 12-week HR internship program exposing you to strategic projects across manufacturing, operations, and HR COEs. You will complete impactful assignments, gain mentorship, and present outcomes to leadership.

The program includes a professional development week in Minnesota with networking and volunteering opportunities. Ideal candidates are self-starting, possess leadership experience, and are pursuing a Master’s in HR/IR or an MBA, with relocation readiness and US work

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Participate in a 12-week internship program working on real-world, strategic business projects within Human Resources teams including manufacturing operations, business units, HR Shared Services, and Centers of Excellence such as Talent, Learning & Development, Compensation, and Culture.
• Complete meaningful projects that benefit the site, business/function, or COE you work with.
• Engage in professional development activities including mentorship, one-on-one meetings with Pentair leaders, and weekly sessions with segment presidents.
• Present project objectives, processes, results, and impact to leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
• Participate in a professional development week in Minnesota involving networking with the Executive Leadership Team, volunteering, and attending development sessions with various Pentair teams and Business Resource Groups.

About You

• Proven leadership demonstrated throughout academic career.
• Previous internship experience is preferable.
• Willingness and ability to relocate at time of hire and during career progression within the organization.
• Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management/Development, or MBA from an accredited university.
• Enrolled as a first-year graduate student.
• Strong interest in pursuing the Human Resources Leadership Development Program, which requires at least one relocation over three years in the United States after graduation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay rate of $35.00.
• Approximately 40 hours of work per week during the internship.
• Financial support may be offered for relocation to the internship location.
