Tune Outdoor is a dynamic and growing company based in Denver, CO, specializing in lightweight, modular truck campers. We are seeking a strategic HR Leader to be a senior management team member driving organizational development, wage strategy, and culture building. This role includes tactical administration but also focuses on high-level workforce planning to ensure our growth aligns with an appealing compensation strategy and a thriving team culture.
The HR Lead will be responsible for the strategic design and maintenance of total rewards and compensation packages, ensuring Tune Outdoor remains competitive in attracting and retaining top-tier talent. A primary focus will be the intentional cultivation and evolution of team members and company culture, defining and measuring the rituals and pillars that drive a high-performing team. Additionally, you will provide expert oversight on legal compliance and internal audits, ensuring our growth is supported by a robust and legally sound operational foundation.

Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership & Strategic Advisory: Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership coaching to empower managers and reduce administrative "hand-holding".
- Salary Analysis & Compensation Strategy: Lead market benchmarking, conduct regular analysis to ensure competitive salaries, and design compensation structures that attract top talent while ensuring wage/hour compliance.
- Culture Building & Employee Engagement: Define and evolve company cultural pillars; implement engagement initiatives and facilitate team rituals (e.g., community events, recognition programs) to maintain a positive, high-growth environment.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws through regular internal audits and policy updates.
- Maintain and update HR policies and handbooks, contractor agreements, and compliance documentation.
- Advise leadership on employment classification and wage/hour compliance.
- Support leadership in creating training programs and professional development pathways in both exempt and hourly tracks.
- Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, and compliance tracking.
- Provide oversight of and execute payroll master data and processes.
- Work independently across all functions to maintain structured, transparent tasks and initiatives with simple progress reporting to Senior team members.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HR leadership with a focus on organizational development.
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws, federal/state compliance, and internal audit procedures.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and thought and/or experience around creating a strong, culture-based and pragmatic HR framework for a fast-growing company.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven HR reporting and metrics.
- Experience in leadership coaching and developing management training programs.
- Proficiency with Paycor or similar HRIS/payroll platforms for compliance and reporting.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace for collaboration, data reporting, and communication.
- Professional, approachable, and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
- Prior HR experience in manufacturing or startup environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, with the ability to guide teams through organizational growth and transformation.

Pay
- $80,000 - $120,000
- Full health, dental and vision employer paid insurance coverage after ~60 days

Schedule
- Onsite; flexible (9x9) and work-from-home (WFH) policies are available, both subject to manager approval and periodic review to ensure team coverage and business continuity.
