Job summary

Take Profit Trader is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle in a fully remote role. You will help launch culture initiatives, optimize HRIS workflows, and manage multi-state compliance and payroll for a growing U.S. and global network of contractors.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, hands-on Paylocity or similar HRIS expertise, and strong communication skills. Expect a dynamic environment with a focus on employee experience and compliance.

• Proficiency with Paylocity or similar HRIS; comfortable with Slack/Zoom/Google Workspace.
• Experience supporting employee life cycle processes, payroll or benefits administration, HRIS and compliance.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

Employee Experience & Culture

• Team Member Support: Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding everyday inquiries about company policies, HR processes and basic payroll or benefits questions
• Onboarding & Check‑ins: Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, contractors and vendors. Conduct regular check‑ins to ensure their long‑term success and integration.
• Culture Initiatives: Support culture initiatives designed to foster a connected, engaging company culture.
• Performance Reviews: Support the coordination and rollout of the annual performance review cycle.
• Training: Help facilitate and coordinate team training and development programs.

HR Operations & Data Management

• HRIS Administration & File Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records and data within our HRIS platforms. Maintain digital record organization to ensure complete legal compliance
• Employment Verifications: Respond to external requests for employment verifications (VOEs) and unemployment claims.
• Department Projects: Execute ad hoc HR projects, such as system cleanups, policy updates, and process documentation.
• Multi‑State Compliance: Stay up-to-date on and help ensure company compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations across multiple US states.

Payroll & Benefits Support

• US Payroll Backup: Cross‑train on domestic payroll processing to serve as the primary backup for US payroll.
• International Payments: Process accurate, timely payments for our global network of independent contractors.
• Benefits Administration: Assist with the planning, communication, and execution of our annual benefits Open Enrollment period.

Talent Acquisition

• Recruiting Support: Assist with full‑cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews as needed.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: 3- 5 years of progressive HR experience. Experience supporting a global, remote organization is highly preferred.
• Tech Savvy: Hands‑on knowledge of Paylocity or a similar comprehensive HRIS platform. Proficiency with collaborative tools like Slack, Zoom and Google Workspace.
• Experience supporting employee life cycle processes, payroll or benefits administration, HRIS and compliance.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail, essential for managing compliance audits and payroll data.
• Adaptability: A growth mindset and the eagerness to learn.
• Customer Service Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, helpful approach providing excellent employee experience.
• Discretion & Confidentiality: A proven track record of handling sensitive personal data and maintaining strict confidentiality.
